The NUR Lab project organizes space through a clear architectural gesture: a 3.6 x 3.6-meter wooden box. Positioned at the center of an existing radial space, the box defines distinct functions on each face — office, storage, kitchenette, services, and restroom —while its monolithic form doubles as a projection screen for larger gatherings.

The southern façade, articulated as a layered system of curtains, negotiates the harsh desert climate, alternately diffusing light and blacking out the space to enable projection and large group interaction.

Outside, on a balcony facing the street, a small experimental garden is planned, featuring cacti and succulents. This small landscape explores responses to the Negev’s harsh climate, rethinking urban planting standards and embracing a contextual approach to landscape design.
